Die Erkl\u00e4rung des Namens Astrophytum myriostigma fa. quadricostata nuda ist etwas irref\u00fchrend, zum einen hei\u00dft Astrophytum auf Deutsch \u201eSternkaktus\u201c, aber da diese Pflanze\u00a0 nur 4 Rippen hat und das f\u00fcr einen Stern nicht gerade \u00fcblich ist, hei\u00dft diese Forma \u201equadricostata\u201c und myriostigma bedeutet \u201eTausendpunkt\u201c auf Grund der vielen Wollfl\u00f6ckchen, aber diese Unterform ist ohne\u00a0 Beflockung und nennt sich demnach im Zusatz \u201enuda\u201c.<\/p>\n

Astrophytum myriostigma fa. quadricostata nuda<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Seinen Ursprung hat die nudale Form durch einen Import\u00a0 von Richard Gr\u00e4ser (N\u00fcrnberg)\u00a0 er importierte 1911 ein bis dahin unbekanntes Astrophytum. Rudolf Maier\u00a0 erkannte 1912 darin die unbeflockte Form des Astrophytum myriostigma und beschrieb sie als Echinocactus myriostigma v. nuda in der Monatsschrift f\u00fcr Kakteenkunde.
\nDie\u00a0 Abgebildete Pflanze, hat wahrscheinlich auf Grund ihrer gro\u00dfen Bl\u00fcte, ihre Urahnen im Bundesstaat San Luis Potosi.
\nGerade bei den vierrippigen nudalen Formen handelt es sich meist um Kultivare, wie die von Robert Gr\u00e4ser gez\u00fcchteten Clone die er auf\u00a0 die Verminderung der Rippenzahl trimmte, so dass sie fast schon reinerbig wurden. Aber auch in der Natur tauchen\u00a0 immer wieder vierrippige Pflanzen auf.<\/p>\n

Die Pflege dieser Astrophyten ist recht einfach, durchl\u00e4ssiges Substrat, in der Hauptsache mineralisch, mit etwas Beimischung von Lehm. \u00dcberwinterung bei mindestens 6 Grad, sonst bekommen gerade diese unbeflockten Formen gerne K\u00e4lteflecken. Weitervermehrung \u00fcber Samen. Bei der Best\u00e4ubung ist darauf zu achten das mit vierrippigen nudalen Partnern gekreuzt wird, sonst haben wir bald wieder nur f\u00fcnfrippige Individien.
