Heute m\u00f6chte ich mal wieder einen Adromischus vorstellen.
\nDer botanische Name der Gattung leitet sich von den griechischen Worten (hadros) f\u00fcr dick, kr\u00e4ftig und (mischos) f\u00fcr Bl\u00fctenstengel ab und verweist auf die dicken, holzigen Bl\u00fctenstiele der Pflanzen.
\nDie Art subdistichus wurde erst 1992 von Bruyns, beschrieben. Er verwendete den Artnamen subdistichus, da ihn schon Bryan Makin, als Arbeitsnamen benutzt hatte. Mit diesem Namen bezog er sich auf den zweizeiligen (distichenen) Aufbau der Bl\u00e4tter bei Jungpflanzen. Laut Bruyns ist es eng mit Adromischus leucophyllus verwandt.<\/p>\n

Verbreitung: S\u00fcdafrika (Westkap, Ostkap); Karoo und Renosterveld
\nIn verwittertem Quarzgestein, in engen Felsspalten, insbesondere in flachen Gebieten s\u00fcdwestlich des Hauptgipfels. Vor Ort sehr verbreitet. Auf einer H\u00f6he von 1000 m.
\nWie die meisten Adromischus leicht in der Pflege. Nur w\u00e4hrend der Bl\u00fcte sollte man die Bl\u00fctenstengel \u00f6fters inspizieren, denn durch den regen Austritt von Zuckersaft aus den Bl\u00fcten laben sich oft Blattl\u00e4use an diesen. Auch kann es durch diesen Zuckersaft auf den Bl\u00e4ttern zu einem Befall von Ru\u00dftau kommen, deshalb sollten die Pflanzen, wenn m\u00f6glich nicht zu dicht\u00a0 aufgestellt werden.<\/p>\n

Weitervermehrung am einfachsten durch Teilung oder Blattstecklinge seltener aus Samen. Im Sommer k\u00f6nnen sie auch im Freien gepflegt werden, dann gen\u00fcgt eine Wassergabe alle 14 Tage. Eine \u00dcberwinterungstemperatur knapp \u00fcber dem Gefrierpunkt gen\u00fcgt, bei trockenem Standort.
