Die Nomenklatur dieser Gattung ist f\u00fcr\u00a0 Pfleger dieser Kakteen verwirrend und umstritten.<\/p>\n

Die Arten der Gattung wurden lange Zeit unter dem Gattungsnamen Echinofossulocactus gef\u00fchrt und steht so auch noch auf den Stecketiketten in den meisten Sammlungen und alten Kakteenb\u00fcchern.<\/p>\n

Diese Gattung beschrieben 1841 von George Lawrence.
\nEchinofossulocactus umfasste damals 26 Arten, aber es war keine Leitart angegeben. Sp\u00e4ter stellte sich heraus, dass die 26 Arten zu f\u00fcnf verschiedenen Gattungen geh\u00f6rten. Karl Moritz Schumann stellte sie im Jahr 1898 auf, und offenbar in Unkenntnis der Arbeiten von Lawrence, als eine Unterart zu Echinocactus. Nathaniel Lord Britton und Joseph Nelson Rose \u00fcbernahmen 1922 Echinofossulocactus und typifizierten die Gattung mit Echinofossulocactus coptonogonus. Sie w\u00e4hlten die Art aber nur aus, da sie an erster Stelle der Artenliste von Lawrence stand. David Hunt publizierte 1980 die Ergebnisse seiner taxonomischen Studien zur Gattung und schlug\u00a0 als Grundlagen Typ f\u00fcr die Gattung Stenocactus, Stenocactus helophorus vor. Auch die Internationale Organisation f\u00fcr Sukkulentenforschung (IOS) akzeptierte in der Folge die Gattung Stenocactus und erkannte sie mit\u00a0 zehn Arten an.<\/p>\n

Entschuldigen sie wenn ich in meiner G\u00e4rtnerei immer noch von Echinofossulocacteen spreche, ich bin halt unbelehrbar und benutze gerne noch den alten und so gel\u00e4ufigen Namen. Obwohl beim Beschriften von Etiketten w\u00e4re der Name Stenocactus schneller zu schreiben.
\nHeute m\u00f6chte ich den Stenocactus coptonogonus mal sch\u00f6n ins Bild setzen.
\nStenocactus bedeutet im griechischen eng,schmal was auf die enggestellten Rippen der Gattung hinweist,das trifft auf den coptonogonus als einzigen nicht zu, aber sei es darum. Vielleicht hei\u00dft er demn\u00e4chst dann auch wieder anders, ich halte sie auf dem Laufenden.\"\"<\/p>\n

Coptonogonus auch aus dem griechischen f\u00fcr eingeschnittene Ecken, das bezieht sich auf die Warzenstruktur wie man oben im Bild an einer alten Pflanze gut sieht. Die Warzen und Rippenform ver\u00e4ndert sich auch wenn man jung und alt Pflanzen vergleicht. Im unteren Bild eine Jungpflanze.<\/p>\n

Naturstandort von Stenocactus coptonogonus ist im mexikanischen Bundesstaaten Zacatecas, San Luis Potos\u00ed, Guanajuato und Hidalgo.
\nWer seine Stenocactus im Gew\u00e4chshaus hoch oben im Dachbereich unterbringen kann wird feststellen das die Dornen sehr viel dichter und breiter an den Pflanzen werden da sie sich vor der starken Sonnenbestrahlung sch\u00fctzen, nat\u00fcrlich sollte man sie dann auch \u00f6fter gie\u00dfen.<\/p>\n

Oben im Bild die Bl\u00fcte, auffallend ist das fast bei allen dieser rosa bis dunkellila Mittelstreifen in den Bl\u00fcten. Vermehrung aus Samen oder Sprossen die manchmal im alter gebildet werden. Durch die engestellten Rippen und die Wolle im Scheitel sollte man bei allen Unterarten von Stenocactus auf Wolllausbefall achten sie lieben diese Gattung und k\u00f6nnen sich dort gut verstecken.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
