Die Mammillarien sind eine der gr\u00f6\u00dften Gattungen in unserem Kakteenreich.<\/span>
\nEine der sch\u00f6nen Seiten dieser Kakteen ist die leichte Bl\u00fctenbildung und das fast zu jeder Jahreszeit eine der verschiedenen Formen dieser Spezies bl\u00fcht. Ein Nachteil aber das die Hackendornen dieses Sukkulents leider auch \u00fcberall gerne h\u00e4ngen bleiben.<\/span><\/p>\n

Heute stelle ich Ihnen Mammillaria bombycina vor.<\/span>
\nDiese Mammillaria wurde schon 1910 von Quehl in der Monatszeitschrift f\u00fcr Kakteenkunde beschrieben. Aber der Originalfundort geriet danach schnell wieder in Vergessenheit. Erst 1989 wurde der Originalstandort durch die Biologin Hilda Arreola wieder gefunden. Aber dies soll nicht bedeuten, dass diese Pflanze nicht in vielen Sammlungen vertreten war und ist, da sie sich \u00fcber Samen sehr leicht vermehren l\u00e4sst, wurde sie nach der Erstbeschreibung auch reichlich vermehrt. Der Gattungsname Mammillaria kommt von Mammilla aus dem lateinischen f\u00fcr Warze und bombycina bedeutet seidig wollig wegen ihrer dichten wei\u00dfen Bedornung im Besonderen im Scheitel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Heimat dieser Mammillaria ist Mexiko, San Luis Potosi,im Norden von Jalisco auf 2300m.<\/span>
\nAls Substrat w\u00e4hlt man durchl\u00e4ssige Kakteenerde, um ein gutes Abtrocknen zu gew\u00e4hrleisten, den sie mag keine Staun\u00e4sse.<\/span><\/p>\n

Von der M. bombycina sind verschieden Formen in den Sammlungen verbreitet, mit hellen und dunkelrosa Bl\u00fcten und genauso mit heller oder dunkler Bedornung.<\/span><\/p>\n

Im Alter werden auch sehr oft gro\u00dfe Gruppen gebildet, weiter Vermehrung in der Regel aus Samen aber es geht auch mit Seitentrieben oder Kopfstecklingen.
